Time is an island in this pool of life,
And the sun will shine whilst the sea levels keep rising.
You remain silent, to the words that they tell,
And you don’t have to hide anything you’re already out of sight.

I chose to climb, different colors of the sky,
So I don’t have to think about, what I’ll never know.

Because one mile, from this burning hillside, From our faces you couldn’t tell.
Two miles and we’ve undermined the words we didn’t used to spell.
Three miles and tomorrow I’ll be waiting by the hillside.

I have heard tell of politics and glory in every other story, well the rest I know too well.
There’s a death around every corner, another brother or a daughter,
Well they might just go to heaven, but we’re building our own hell.
On the basis and foundation, that every fact we are given is a fraction of the truth we are told.
Well we’ve been talking and debating and we all seem to think it’s getting old.
