Skywalker 03:04
Tiptoe silent See no higher Sunrise from behind Breaking the silence, breaking the silence Skywalker I feel the fall, when you’re falling from the inside Skywalker I feel the fall When you’re falling from the inside Closed eyelids into the dark Fleeting footsteps we are the heartless Hold on wavering skylark The moon lights this dance Skywalker I feel the fall when you’re falling from the inside Skywalker I feel the fall, when you’re falling from the inside

I wish I could go back in time, oh way back before my time, when memories lived on inside a different state of mind. Now everything is complicated and mobile phones are overrated, Humans are so segregated, love is undermined. We all dance to different songs, some rise high some scrape along, The streets to which we all belong but we’re falling behind, On compassion and rationality, whilst holding back profanity, We breed dysfunctional families because we’re never satisfied, With the lives we choose and the lives we take, So we close our eyes when we’re wide awake, We’re walking blindly into our fates as our mountains subside. I don’t know where to start, because every time I wake this world is falling apart. Dreams grow high inside a child’s heart, now the world is big and my love is vast. the world is big and my love is vast, the world is big and my love is vast the world is big and my love is vast, the world is big and my love is, Dreams don’t last Sometimes I like to sing old songs, in a different key, get the words all wrong, From an era I wish I belonged to long before my time. If imperfection is the key to the greatest works of artistry, we would only be so free if we could all agree, That with every rise there comes a fall and no one ever has it all, I come prepared for the longest haul we’ll be laughing when we meet At the end of the earth, where the sun goes down and you’re wearing diamonds on your crown, If all i have when I look around is a long list of defeats, I’ll smile because I tried it all, all the sex and the drugs and the alcohol, Life gets you down you take control, you’re back on your feet. I don’t know where to start, because every time I wake this world is falling apart. Dreams grow high inside a child’s heart, now the world is big and my love is vast. the world is big and my love is vast, the world is big and my love is vast the world is big and my love is vast, the world is big and my love is, Dreams don’t last

City Falls 04:15
Downward spirals fill the air, satisfy our lungs. If wanting is never enough, we’ll spend our life chasing for fun. Now planets collide and we’re standing in the middle of what we’ve left behind. Rainbows unfold we are told to let go of the words we couldn’t find. Speak through these walls, There is wonder in the whispers we chose to leave behind. Speak through these walls, As another city falls on the inside of our minds Brace yourself for a lifetime of surrender to a mountain you couldn’t climb. Different shades of darkness chase your colors from within, Grow on me sweet love of mine Speak through these walls, There’s wonder in the whispers we chose to leave behind. Speak through these walls, As another city falls on the inside of our minds

Time is an island in this pool of life, And the sun will shine whilst the sea levels keep rising. You remain silent, to the words that they tell, And you don’t have to hide anything you’re already out of sight. You don’t have to hide anything you’re already out of sight. I chose to climb, different colors of the sky, So I don’t have to think about, what I’ll never know. Because one mile, from this burning hillside, From our faces you couldn’t tell. Two miles and we’ve undermined the words we didn’t used to spell. Three miles and tomorrow I’ll be waiting by the hillside. I have heard tell of politics and glory in every other story, well the rest I know too well. There’s a death around every corner, another brother or a daughter, Well they might just go to heaven, but we’re building our own hell. On the basis and foundation, that every fact we are given is a fraction of the truth we are told. Well we’ve been talking and debating and we all seem to think it’s getting old. Because one mile, from this burning hillside, From our faces you couldn’t tell. Two miles and we’ve undermined the words we didn’t used to spell. Three miles and tomorrow I’ll be waiting by the hillside. We’re living it all with little guidance, So we watch the fall and burn in silence. Close your eyes, don’t tax your peace of mind, Because we’re scraping the very surface of the world.

On tourne 03:37

Sunrise of a different kind, chase me through the day All the while waiting to be on the other side, my heart is never hollow to your pain. When I wake, you won’t be there anymore, So I’ll practice my good mornings on inanimate objects.
When I walk I won’t walk in front of you Because now this trio’s down to two and we don’t have to wait every time you say we’re walking too fast, But if it could last, I would scale it down for you and do it one hundred times over, For another slow walk with you. I feel alive to the intervals of our time, We’ve been assigned, so take what you like and leave it all behind, I’ll be walking behind you,. When I get out, you know the whole world will hear me shout, That if anybody makes you smile the way you make me smile then you’ve got to hold on, I was told once before, by a stranger waiting on a ride, With a smile and a glisten in her eye. And she walked away but you stood beside me, And I will hold you, for as long as you want to be held And if it’s raining, all the better. Because they say these things will make us stronger. I feel alive to the intervals of our time, We’ve been assigned, so take what you like and leave it all behind, I’ll be walking beside you.

Sun sets on the shoreline and the skyrise score into the air, They only came as visitors here, they stayed ‘till they bought out every share. Guided by a fortunate few, who gazed out their windows at the perfect view. The more they gazed, the less they could see what their every action was taking from me. There was a time I don’t even recall when the earth gave her jewels Now we’ve taken it all, Sunk our teeth deep and we bring forth the fall, As we shoot out our bullets from behind our great walls. She gives us life and we take what we please, ‘Till we’ve taken it all with such incredible ease. No more hunger or strife, we have far greater needs Soon there’ll be nothing else, for the root the root or the seed. We’re slowly melting ice caps and the sea levels keep rising, We’re digging out coals and oils and leaving holes beneath our feet. The oceans are filling with oil and crude and our body’s are filled with our poisonous food Spiced with pesticides, the industries will thrive And it doesn’t really matter who will make it out alive. Because logic is failing to the weight of our greed Another species has failed to irreversible deeds, That they didn’t ask for but neither did we So we all close our eyes, because it’s better not to see How She gives us life and we take what we please, ‘Till we’ve taken it all with such incredible ease. No more hunger or strife, we have far greater needs Soon there’ll be nothing else, for the root the root or the seed.

m'oceans 03:34
You hit me with words, my heart fell to the ground and turned to pockets of water. You say that you question it all, would you care to recall our sweet summer laughter. I am in motion on this wild neurotic ocean, I am standing on the bricks we once stacked You walk behind me as I turn from the dynasty and take refuge in the pathos of my acts. Take me from this island, I can feel the break of the waves, On my raft boat I can feel it shake, We won’t get away before the end of the day. I sing for us all who were born to be tall but always fall to disaster And you don’t need nobody else, to gratify yourself, Bring attention to the mind of the master I am in motion on this wild neurotic ocean, I am drifting where the sunlight refracts. Whilst the storms are desolating the gods are still waiting for you to walk, with it all behind your back. Take me from this island, I can feel the break of the waves, On my raft boat I can feel it shake, We won’t get away before the end of the day.

Stranger 03:25
I am a stranger in this house, Remember the fear I am a stranger in this house, so far, so near So far, so near. Moving on through these empty spaces, So slow, so slow. Picking up on different times and places And all the people we’ve yet to know. Breath in these words and burn, on the inside of your mind, because every day we are learning, to ride the wave and follow the tide. I am a stranger behind the frame of a friend that you don’t know. It ’s always the same and it’s strange that when I leave I have to go…

flutterby 04:51
Fly, flutter by like the smoke of your last cigarette. Every part of me is homeless without you, it’s not been a week yet. So come along, sweet love of mine you have dust beneath your touch. The day is long but the night is longer, I’ve never wanted someone so much. Fly, flutter by, said the candle in the night to the rain. Flutter by, fill out the night, when the language we speak is the same. Time has gone by, since the first time I spoke your name Now a year can feel like a lifetime, when you’re standing beside me we’re one and the same. So come along, sweet love of mine you have left me completely disarrayed. I am strong but my heart is stronger, whenever you leave she won’t stay. Fly, flutter by, said the candle in the night to the rain. Flutter by, fill out the night, when the language we speak is the same.

You look up 03:37
I am an icicle, warped by the heavy hands of the night. You are a miracle, I have such wonder for the road you leave behind you. And the blades of grass will cut our ankles as we walk these heavy grounds. But who is to find such a wondrous sunrise you look up when I look down. You look up when I look down, so I turn it all around and forget to se the sky, And our feet are stuck to the ground, we are upside down, Too young, too old to die. Your are the pinnacle of this tidal wave, I am idle, I feel the break. And I am a candle stick melting by my flame, I disintegrate into the earth, We cry and our tears of joy will spread out secrets through the ground, Oh they won’t make a sound. Our roots will grow beyond what we know When we live no more, will you recall? You looked up when I looked down, so I turned it all around and forgot to see the sky. our feet were stuck to the ground, we were upside down, Too young, too old to die You look up when I look down, And I turn it all around, shoot I’ve done it again. There’s a smile behind your frown, Stop fooling around, you’ve no reason to complain.

about

Skywalker is a self produced album, written and arranged by Chloe Levaillant in collaboration with Atticus Mckittrick. As an album it reflects the ability to look at fear in the eyes and not only embrace it but overcome it, whether it be fear of dying or living, of falling in love, making big life changes, taking chances or simply being human. The songs come from a place of honesty, observation, fragility and strength, written at a time of transition and change, whilst falling head over heels in love and finding my life and musical partner Atticus Mckittrick. They reflect the nomadic lifestyle that I adopted since leaving home, as well as the growth and changes I experienced as a young adult. With a writing process that began in June 2016, Skywalker is about diving head first and full force into the alternative to the beaten path and not looking back.
